New Year: New Exhibit

On Friday we are having a reception for a welcome showing of new members.
We also have a collection of works by our members, stalwarts all, who remain at work even without a deadline looming over their head. Come see what we have been doing.
We are looking forward to the reveal, and to visit after the holiday.
It feels as though we have been working hard, but there have been numerous Saturday/Sunday cycles piling on into the week.
What day is it?
Well, we are readying ourselves for the new year.
We would love to see you come by and se the work.

Open today and tomorrow: then its One Million Bones on Sunday!
Well, that sounds a little too excited abut having a million bones in the space.
We are excited, but for the project to be in the space.
The One Million Bones is a reflection on genocide existing in the world. Not an exciting thing.
The project is to bring a recognition of the genocide, not a celebration of genocide. This is a big project by folks up at Whitworth, and using the space as a public exhibit space for Sunday.
On Sunday, we are open from noon to 5 PM.

Segments of two plaques showing some of the bones for the project.
Opening Reception: Friday, November 2nd, 5-8 pm

Nearly Naked: An exhibition of ceramic arts by Matt Boland will show at the Saranac Art Projects gallery from August 4 through 27th.
Matt Boland strives to expose the deepest of human emotions, the secrets, the shameful moments, the disguises we all conspire to hide behind. A nearly life-long resident of Spokane with a recent Masters degree from The University of Georgia, Matt Boland strives, through the manipulation of ceramic materials, to show his inner most workings, fears, regrets, and hopes.
Matt’s work will detail the human as alien, the benign as monster.
