New Year: New Exhibit

January 1, 2013 § Leave a Comment

On Friday we are having a reception for a welcome showing of new members.

We also have a collection of works by our members, stalwarts all, who remain at work even without a deadline looming over their head. Come see what we have been doing.

We are looking forward to the reveal, and to visit after the holiday.

It feels as though we have been working hard, but there have been numerous Saturday/Sunday cycles piling on into the week.

What day is it?

Well, we are readying ourselves for the new year.

We would love to see you come by and se the work.

Saranac Supports: Art for Radio

July 20, 2012 § Leave a Comment

Our August show is

a work of collaboration between

DJ’s at KYRS and Saranac Art Projects Members and

Other Invited Artists

The collaboration began with audio compilations created

by the KYRS team that were given to artists in the community.  Each

artist is making work inspired by the audio.

And then

we are having a silent auction for you to have the works to take home. Our members are all excited about this. You should have seen the hands go up when Bernadette asked who wanted to do something. We love to see what happens when we work. It is a wonderful step to see new vistas spring out from something new collaborative territory”

We love looking and moving around in those spaces.

And don’t forget: the Closing Party! August 24: 5 to 8 pm

Nearly Naked: An exhibition of ceramic arts by Matt Boland will show at the Saranac Art Projects gallery from August 4 through 27th.

Matt Boland strives to expose the deepest of human emotions, the secrets, the shameful moments, the disguises we all conspire to hide behind. A nearly life-long resident of Spokane with a recent Masters degree from The University of Georgia, Matt Boland strives, through the manipulation of ceramic materials, to show his inner most workings, fears, regrets, and hopes.

Matt’s work will detail the human as alien, the benign as monster.
