Dark/Light: and exhibit of Dan McCann’s and Garric Simonsen’s Work Opening October Fifth

Opening of Dan McCann’s and Garric Simonsen’s exhibit at the Saranac Art Projects is Tonight, October Fifth.
The artists have been working on the installation, and we are opening the space for visits.
Dan has been working for seven years on this work. He has been thinking about the Saranac space as a place to explore ideas of terrain, and place. He has made a number of pieces rom paper, and other materials, but the final works are suggestive of many stories.
Garric Simonsen’s works are encaustic and constructions. They have a number of stories embedded into them. HE seems to be having conversations with our history in Spokane. Graffiti has a place here. So does the history we have been carrying forward from grade school.
