Walking: New Works by Jeff Huston and Shelly Williams

Jeff Huston

This work is a study into the healing of the body, mind and soul. We live in a torn, incomplete world. We use the pieces of this world to try and make us complete people. These do not make us whole. They weigh us down and ultimately break us. Using metal work and video, “Walking” is an exploration of healing in the communities that we live and work in.

Shelly Williams

The subject matter of my work grows from a collection of observations rooted in daily life experience and environment.  Over the past year, I’ve been working on a project that has involved walking the streets of Spokane and documenting the wishing wells found along the way.  The work in this show will include maps of portions of Spokane and a glimpse into the narratives that have emerged from the project.
