What do you think the window looks like, NOW?

This image is from the weekend after the opening of our current show.

Otis Bardwell covered the window with clay, and drew in the clay by pushing his fingers into the moist clay. The bricks are also drawings.

And, if you look closely, Otis made an Ampersand in the clay. You can see the contrast between the brick outlines and swirl in the clay in contrast to the finger marks.

It’s a nice compliment of organic material’s lines in frames of bricks, and then the human marks producing the human mark of language.

We will keep this short, and cut it here, because we can see a rhetorical investigation looming ahead, like a deep cliff of interest.

We will be back soon from this fall into a reverie.
