Tomorrow night’s reception

MACHINE

Dan McCann has created box constructions and wall reliefs with industrial, organic overtones.

Dan uses found objects and mixed media working with the materials to tell a story.

They are always visually stunning, and elegant.

PINK IS THE NEW BLUE

Carrie Scozzaro returns to a familiar theme of gender and social politics with a playful commentary on how gender identity is represented and misrepresented in our culture.

We look forward to seeing everyone, and saying hello.

Our reception is from 5-9 pm.

Last two days for Larry and Carrie’s show.

We have folks in the gallery now, and Saturday.

A whole collection of folks have been in to see Larry’s work. They were very excited as they looked at the photos. They were talking about new arrangements of the images.

Nice to see folks playing with the ideas.

Dyptic

This is the last week for Larry and Carrie’s show. We would love to send this out with a flag waving salute. Maybe you can come by later this week and help send it off.

Next month we have loads of things going on in the gallery.

We have a couple of workshops. These are part of the Create Spokane series of events. We will have the events posted on the site, and they are listed in the information from the Spokane Arts office.

We will also have a show presenting everyone’s work in the space at one time. It sounds large, and is. Yet, we have put a limit on the number of things folks can have in the space. And a limit on size as well.

But it’s Carrie’s and Larry’s time,

NOW!

Open again.
Talk to Ryan and Lance.
Ryan has a show in October, That’s just a couple of weeks off. He’s ben working, and has some very interesting ideas of what to do in the space. A couple of us had a wonderful conversation with him last Tuesday. He’s jazzed.
Lance is always a thrilling person to talk with in the gallery. He might seem quiet, but there is a bit of something in there we love to se bubble up in our conversations.

Sometimes it’s this way

We sometimes feel as though the world is washing away. Carrie Scozzaro has a great piece articulating this idea. The piece is in the space this month.

We are open today, if you would like to see the work. She has a number of other pieces as she looks at the world. It’s a lovely conversation she has been having about expectations we have of each other.

Come and take a look.

Carrie Scozzaro and Larry Ellingson’s Show Opening Tonight!

September 5, 2014 § Leave a comment

In a short while, Carrie and Larry’s show will be open.

The official time is from 5 to 8.

We think you could look for a while longer.

We think this is going to be a wonderful show.

Don’t forget the other shows in town. The Art School has an opening as well, up in the Garland District. As does the Kolva/Sullivan space and Trackside. We heard the MAC has a do going on this evening as well. They are a good place to see work.

There are loads of other places around town to see work. Many of the wine bars have work up, as do many of the stores and bars. So many places to see things, and to look at work!

Have a good evening. We are looking forward to our opening, and the beautiful evening. We will see you out and about.
